Cassy Chatterson, DVM
Dr. Cassy Chatterson was born and raised in Indiana. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in 1998 from Purdue University and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr. Chatterson and her husband, Joel, have been practicing in the greater Seattle area since 2006. She completed her life-long dream of becoming a practice owner by purchasing Woodinville Animal Hospital in 2019. Dr. Chatterson’s professional interests include surgery, geriatric medicine, and building strong, life-long bonds with her clients and their pets. Her personal interests include hiking, biking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, two boys, and of course Furgie and Petunia!
Kimberly Hineline, DVM
Dr. Hineline grew up on the Eastside and earned both her Bachelor’s in Animal Science (2007) and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2011) from Washington State University-Go Cougs! She joined the team at WAH in 2014 and is dedicated to providing compassionate care to her patients. Dr. Hineline has an interest in preventative medicine, dermatology, and geriatric care, and she values the long-term relationships she builds with both pets and their people. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hineline enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 kids. Her home is happily shared with a goofy black Lab named Turk and two kitties, Steve and Marge.
Michelle Salomon, DVM
Dr. Michelle Salomon grew up in South Bellevue with a love for animals and a curiosity about biology that eventually led her across the country—and back again. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2022.
Dr. Salomon has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery, preventive care, and supporting senior pets through the aging process. She’s known for her thoughtful communication and collaborative approach, taking time to educate pet owners and build care plans that truly fit each animal and household.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll likely find her wandering local trails with her dog Willow, discovering cafés with unique seasonal lattes, and unwinding with a good book or a knitting project.
Shaela Clay, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Shaela Clay earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Tech. Her experience includes small animal, general practice, a one-year equine internship, and work in a clinical pathology lab.
Dr. Clay is a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) and Certified Veterinary Food Therapist (CVFT) through Chi University, where she is also completing her certification in herbal medicine.
Her journey into veterinary medicine began with volunteer work at a large dog rescue organization. Inspired by her work in clinic and encouraged by the veterinarians she supported, she decided to pursue veterinary school and has never looked back.
Outside of work, Dr. Clay enjoys running, reformer Pilates, hot yoga, hiking, and reading. At home, she cares for an Appaloosa mule named Lena, a senior Labrador Retriever named Judy, a spirited rat terrier named Jimmy, and a cat named Delilah.
Anja, Manager
Anja Salazar recently joined Woodinville Animal Hospital as Hospital Manager, bringing over 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Her career spans wildlife and exotic species, small animals, and equine care—with horses remaining her greatest passion. Originally from Germany, Anja moved to the United States in 2009 and has since dedicated herself to compassionate, high-quality care for both pets and their families.
The photo shown features her little dog, Huschellinchen, who is always by her side. Outside of work, Anja loves exploring the outdoors, listening to music, and spending time on the water. Her leadership philosophy is simple yet powerful: “Whatever you are – be a good one.” Known for her compassion and empathy, Anja is always approachable and excited to serve the Woodinville community.

Alex
Since graduating from college, I have always wanted a career working with animals. I started out working with marine wildlife and then made the shift to veterinary medicine where I love to continually grow and learn every day! When I’m not working, I enjoy having some couch snugs with my handsome chaos kitty, Nim, going for a good run, finding some water to swim in, or going out to the WA wilderness with a climb of a hike.
Chris
A product of our own local high school system, Chris graduated from Bothell High. She has been an assistant on our staff since 2010. Chris greatly enjoys all the cases that we see, both “routine” and not-so-routine. Chris enjoys her family, viewing Animal Planet, and spending time with her niece and nephew. Chris does not enjoy finding the cap left off of the tube of toothpaste…
Reilly
Reilly joined the WAH team in October 2019. Reilly came to us with many years in the pet care industry but was new to veterinary medicine. She jumped right in and has been a great addition to the WAH family! Reilly has a collie mix named Sofie, a lab named Walter, and a fluffy kitty named Apollo.
Kendall
Kendall has lived in Woodinville her whole life. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Washington before realizing where her true passion lies. Kendall is now enrolled in school to learn more about veterinary technology and hopes to become a licensed veterinary technician. She has been volunteering with Homeward Pet Adoption Center since she was 18, which is where she adopter her pup, Tigger! Kendall’s favorite things to do in her free time include crocheting, knitting, cooking and weightlifting.
Luis
Luis has been living in the Bothell/Woodinville area since the day he was born. As a recent graduate in Cinema and Media Studies, Luis came to Woodinville Animal Hospital to explore the veterinary industry as it became an interest to him. He hopes to give the best care possible for the patients and clients here at Woodinville Animal Hospital. In his spare time, Luis likes to play video games, watch films, tv shows, and hang out with friends. When his friends are available, he enjoys putting on some basketball shoes and hitting the court.
Rayne
Rayne grew up on Whidbey Island with her family dogs, orange cat, a plethora of chickens, and a handful of wild animals that she was able to help. Always the first person to point out any dog she sees, Rayne has always had a love for our furry friends. She currently resides with her partner, their chihuahua mix Gracie, 3 other incredible rescue mixes, and spicy cat Helyx.
Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, playing Stardew Valley, reading, using her dog as a pillow for a quick nap, going to concerts, and keeping up with Formula 1. If she could have any superpower, it would be teleportation.
